XRE's Immersive Tech Powers "Around the Corner" at Digital Shibuya 2025

Following the success of the immersive interactive exhibition "Around the Corner” at the Hong Kong East Kowloon Cultural Centre (EKCC), we at XRE are thrilled to announce its run at Digital Shibuya 2025, which took place from February 8th to 11th at the Shibuya City.

"Around the Corner," created by XRT, reconstructs memories associated with historical sites, starting with 1970s Hong Kong public housing estates. These digitally recreated sites deeply resonate with local audiences. The exhibition immerses visitors, encouraging them to bring their own experiences and memories, juxtaposing individual perceptions with existing memories to create an ever-evolving construct.

XRE is proud to support the immersive technology behind this captivating experience. At Digital Shibuya, attendees will have the opportunity to virtually step into these recreations, experiencing both nostalgia and novelty. We use sensors to scan and capture audience movements, instantly placing them within the digital scene and enabling real-time interaction with the virtual content. This creates unique pathways for participants to explore.

We look forward to continuing to push the boundaries of immersive experiences and exploring new ways to connect audiences with art and culture.
